Barbara Fraser

Barbara has been directing preschool and school age arts programming for over twenty-five years, developing instruction that uses movement, music  and theatrical improvisation as tools for expression, improving communication skills and building confidence.  In addition to her extensive teaching experience with collaborative children's groups in musical, theatrical and therapeutic settings, she facilitates training for other educators in drama, dance, yoga, and art, with the goal of linking the arts to literacy, science, math, self esteem, and cultural diversity.  Her other credentials include:  Training consultant for Child Care Circuit, Massachusetts Child Care Project and Tufts University Center for Applied Child Development; Arts/Curriculum Coordinator for Community Day Care of Lawrence, MA; Director of Gregg Neighborhood House, Inc. supportive school age program; Graduate degree in Psychology and Health Administration. BS in Child Development and Educational Psychology; secondary focus in Fine Arts; Professional training seminars over seventeen years covering Communication, Supervision, Management, Family Therapy, Behavior Management, Curriculum; Psychotherapy training with Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and Cambridge.  She is also provides private instruction for all ages.
